Interview with

And beauty in all areas

Biography

I'm from Marbella, and I came to Madrid to study. Although I initially studied law, my true passion was interior design, so as soon as I graduated, I started studying interior architecture at the Polytechnic University. During my studies, I worked on my own projects and internships at other studios, but as soon as I finished, I set up my own studio. That was six years ago. I generally consider myself a perfectionist and a bit stubborn; when I'm sure of something, I fight for it, hence my need to control the entire work process and to work independently. I needed to develop my proposals without the filter of another studio—convincing clients is hard enough as it is! At first, the studio was very small, but it soon began to grow little by little, taking very sure steps, until it became what it is today. This is all thanks to the clients who have supported us and trusted us.

“Inspiration is everywhere”

- What is beauty to you and what connection does it have with your creative side in your work?

With our projects, we strive for aesthetics; we aim to create beautiful homes, and for this reason, beauty is fundamental to us in every aspect. This applies to our field as well as any creative profession, fashion, and, of course, personal care. We value and seek beauty in all its forms.

- What inspires you to create the spaces?

Inspiration is everywhere; you just have to keep your eyes wide open because any texture, a piece of furniture, a material, even a sound can spark a new idea and shape a project. Personally, I love walking around and observing traditional architecture. I like to look at church floors, the doorways of classic buildings, the plasterwork that was done in the past…

“Find a brand identity, make sure people recognize your spaces.”

- What is the best advice you have received throughout your professional career?

The best advice I received was to find a signature style, something that would allow people to recognize my spaces. It's not so much about repeating the same approach or constantly doing the same project, but about being true to yourself, trusting your judgment to always stay within your own style, and not trying to follow trends or go against what you believe is best.

- What is your morning routine?

Before showering, I wash my face thoroughly, and after showering, while my skin is still slightly damp, I apply serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. Finally, a little petroleum jelly, and I'm ready for the day.

- A foolproof trick or product

I use the Biologique Recherche Lait U cleanser, and in the morning after using it, I don't rinse it off with water; my face feels very hydrated afterward. Another product I love is the Natura Bissé illuminating mask.

- How do you take care of your beauty from the inside out?

I try to watch what I eat from Monday to Friday. On weekends I forget about it and indulge in all the treats I like. I also work out twice a week and try to drink two liters of water a day.

- A subject that needs improvement in terms of beauty.

Many! For example, getting body treatments throughout the year.
When summer approaches I try to do them, but I always get caught out.
